MMary-Anne has energy and a passion for her work.

After working as a Conveyancing/Legal secretary for many years she commenced with her legal studies at the age of 35, part time, whilst continuing to be in the employ of a law firm.

She was admitted as an Attorney in the High Court of South Africa, Eastern Cape Division, on the 19th January 2012 at the age of 42.  She was subsequently admitted as a Conveyancer on the 11th October 2012 and as a Notary Public on the 5th August 2014.

Mary-Anne has been in continuous practice since her admission.  She was appointed as a Director of Messrs Gravett Schoeman Incorporated in 2014 and she practises in the areas of Conveyancing and Notarial legal work.

Mary-Anne has many years of experience in various conveyancing matters, inter alia, Transfers (Conventional, Sectional, Shareblock), Endorsement Transfers, various Applications in terms of the Deeds Registries Act, Subdivisions, Certificates of Registered Titles, Certificates of Consolidated Title, as well as the legal implications relating thereto; the financial aspects and the resolving of various disputes that can arise in transactions.  She very much enjoys the liaisons with the various parties involved and also ensuring that all parties legal rights are upheld.

Mary-Anne also has years of experience with the various financial institutions and has attended to registrations of numerous mortgage bonds, releases, cancellations etc. as well as notarial bonds.

As a Notary, she has further been involved with immovable property by attending to the registration of various servitudes relating to properties.

Mary-Anne takes great pleasure in assisting engaged couples with their marriage contracts.
