BBurger qualified and was admitted as an Attorney in the Supreme Court of South Africa, Transvaal Provincial Division on 11th May 2004. He was subsequently admitted as a Notary Public and Conveyancer on 12th July 2007 in the High Court of South Africa (Eastern Cape Division). He obtained his Master’s degree in Commercial Law on 17th October 2015.
He has been in continuous practise since his admission as an Attorney and practised in the Northern Cape before being appointed at Gravett Schoeman Incorporated and is presently a Director of the firm in the Conveyancing department and heads the Bond department.
He specializes in Property Law and he deals with bonds for the following financial institutions:
He also deals with all matters relating to the transfer of property from the Seller to the Purchaser, registrations at the Deed’s Office in King William’s Town and all enquiries pertaining to transfer of conventional properties as well as sectional title properties. This includes but is not limited to dealing with and finalising the financial matters of transfers and resolving disputes and or questions that may arise in the transferring process. This also includes attending to endorsement transfers, certificates of registered title and certificates of consolidated title. While in the Northern Cape he dealt with the transfer of properties from the local municipality to new owners and had to report to the local municipality on a regular basis. He also attends to the cancellation of the bonds. He reports to the specific attorney liaisons at the banks on a regular basis.
As Notary he has been involved in attending to the registration of various servitudes relating to property.
